At ViroPharma, we strive to improve the lives of patients and to deliver medicines that address serious unmet medical needs. Our goal is simple in that we dedicate ourselves to developing and marketing products that help address dangerous, potentially life-threatening conditions including diseases such as hereditary angioedema (HAE) that are caused by C1 esterase inhibitor deficiency, and C. difficile. We focus our efforts on providing these medicines to physicians that treat and/or prevent serious diseases, and will expand on those franchises by capitalizing on business development.

We pride ourselves not only on having marketed products including Vancocin® (Vancomycin Hydrochloride Capsules, USP) which saves lives every day and Cinryze™ (C1 Esterase Inhibitor [Human]) which is indicated for routine prophylaxis against angioedema attacks in adolescent and adult patients with Hereditary Angioedema (HAE), but also on prudent business development, and our promising pipeline of opportunities for diseases including cytomegalovirus and recurrent C. difficile infections.
